He seems to spend more time in custody than in comedy clubs these days.
And funnyman Katt Williams has been arrested again, this time on charges of gun-related child endangerment.
According to TMZ police collared the 44-year-old at his Los Angeles home on Saturday morning, following an investigation from the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services.
They had concluded there were numerous guns and illegal drugs in the house that created a safety hazard for the kids.
He was initially held on $100,000 bail, while his four children have been put in protective custody.
A spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department told the Los Angeles Times one of the firearms seized from the comedian’s residence was recently reported stolen.
Williams has not addressed the report.
After he was released the troubled stand-up star said: ‘How do you keep kids safe without guns?’
He also denied his brood were in danger due to the firearms.
He said: ‘If the police come in and raid my place and break into my gun boxes, you’re gonna find guns!
‘I’m not in a gang, what difference does it make?
The Obama Effect Star also denied drugs were in his Woodland Hills property, with one exception.
Arguing that cannabis should not really count, he said: ‘Weed is not a drug.’
He is due in court on January 25.
It is the fourth time he has been in trouble with the law this month, with his most recent trouble stemming from a warrant issued by a Seattle judge after he failed to show up for an arraignment on assault, harassment, and obstruction charges.
The charges were acquired when Williams was detained for allegedly threatened a bar employee with a pool cue in a brawl.
It comes just days after the funnyman was collared in Dunnigan, California, which is around 40 miles from the state capital Sacramento, for an outstanding arrest warrant.
According to KCRA, Yolo County Sheriffs deputies took the 39-year-old into custody after at a petrol station after he was pulled over for an alleged traffic violation.
The arrest warrant had been issued on Thursday out of Sacramento County for a reckless driving incident last month, and he posted bail on Saturday morning.
Williams was supposed to appear at a show in Houston on Friday night but that show was cancelled, with a press release on the website for the venue citing ‘circumstances beyond our control, Katt Williams, scheduled for Friday December 7th, has been cancelled.’
In addition, he was booked into King County Jail in Seattle around 6.30pm on Sunday for investigation of harassment, assault and obstructing police, and was released early Monday morning.
According to police sources he ‘brandished a pool cue at a bar manager and refused to leave the business,’
He later followed a family outside of the bar and allegedly threw a cigarette at a woman as she got into her car, hitting her in the eye.
He also allegedly threw a rock at the vehicle.
It follows a series of bizarre antics by Williams in recent weeks.
Recently he was caught on video in Sacramento slapping a Target employee in the face, and was arrested on charges of attacking an aspiring rapper on his tour bus outside a downtown Oakland hotel last month. He was later released with no charges filed.
He is also being sued over an onstage meltdown and aborted performance in Oakland.
The San Francisco Chronicle reports it’s the second Alameda County lawsuit filed over Williams’ bizarre 10 minutes on stage last month at Oakland’s Oracle Arena.
The suit filed by 35-year-old Brian Herline, of Modesto, says he and hundreds of fans were disappointed when Williams took off his clothes and challenged people to fight.
Herline is seeking class-action certification in an effort to get ticket money back for all audience members.
