Alexis Stone is best known for transforming himself into celebrities with makeup — or at least he was until October 2018. That was when his usual Instagram photos of himself looking uncannily like Jessica Biel, Megan Fox, and other stars became overshadowed by what appeared to be a very dramatic surgical makeover.
He shared a bruised and swollen post-op photo to his grid and a 17-minute “reveal” video to his YouTube channel, unveiling a strikingly different-looking face and answering questions about the procedures he’d undergone. This was followed by several months of posts showing Stone in glamorous drag looks, admittedly and happily resembling Jocelyn Wildenstein.
But it was all an act. And more so, it was an accidental social experiment — one that Stone, whose name is Elliot Joseph Rentz when he’s not performing and posing, brought to a thought-provoking conclusion earlier this week when he disclosed that he had used special-effects makeup to fool his followers, many of whom left incredibly cruel comments on his posts when they thought he’d gotten extensive plastic surgery.
